What to do if your child doesn't want to celebrate Chinese New Year

You would love all family celebrations to go according to plan, especially Chinese New Year. But you’ll get off to a thoroughly miserable start if your child refuses to wear red (she’d rather wear black), doesn’t want to make small talk with her relatives or play with her cousins (she’d rather remain glued to the iPad). And refuses to eat the traditional New Year dishes that her grandaunt has cooked for her (she’d rather eat fish and chips).
