It’s fun because they gain quick reflexes, need to think fast on their feet, and enjoy a sense of accomplishment when winning. Pupils may start fencing as early as in P1, and are encouraged to set and exceed personal targets.
Skills they’ll learn Fencers develop good sportsmanship and self-discipline, make decisions about complex matters, and learn how to compete independently. Learning life skills, character building and leadership training help children reach their potential in many areas other than fencing.
Hall of fame The school’s fencers have participated in annual competitions like the Blade Club Cup, the YMCA Cup, as well as the National Fencing Competition.
