7 steps to overcome shyness

Every child can suddenly become shy. Your confident, chatty child can be transformed into a quivering wreck in some social situations with other children and adults, but this is perfectly normal. Any small anxiety can trigger a bout of shyness.

Shyness can be mistaken for moodiness, so here are signs of shyness to look for:

 Looking down He has a problem making eye-contact with the other person, and suddenly finds his feet fascinating!
 Embarrassment He cannot stop his face from going red when entering a room of children, even though he knows some of them.
 Reluctance If he is particularly shy, he may struggle with you when led into a room full of unfamiliar people.
